Sure! You can absolutely create a logo yourself in Canva or Photoshop. You can even pick out some cool colors that you like. However, consider that it will take a lot of time (plan for 20 hours, minimum) and effort to do so.. Think about it this way: Is it worth it to invest in your business by offloading the design work to an expert so you can keep doing what you do best?
It’s hard to do the work to create your business and then consolidate everything about it into a branding system. All the decisions will still be yours to make, but you’ll gain a helpful guide and someone who can do the work quickly and efficiently

Think about popular companies. Most likely, you are picturing their logo, brand colors, or even their website design. Branding is a way for clients to identify your product or service. When used the right way, the logo, color palette, and imagery will work together to set a mood that expresses your brand.

Websites create a hub for credibility and expertise. They provide vital sources of information, from contact forms to blog posts that show you as an expert in your field and attract potential customers via content matches in Google searches. Having a website is an excellent way to express your brand through design and content.

Don’t panic. Why don’t you fill out my branding worksheet that helps you think about what your brand values are? Once you do that, you’ll be able to pinpoint a direction or feeling that you want to go with. Then you can talk to me and we can decide on imagery and colors. Not many people know right off the bat what symbol they want to choose for their brand.

I’m not here to stop you if your budget doesn’t fit with the project pricing or force you to see value in something that you don’t. Sometimes budgetary constraints force a business to use something temporary that resonates with what you want later down the line. It’s totally okay to use something that works right now and save money to invest in the right designer. My recommendation is to use your internal compass. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

For every project I charge 50% on signing the contract, and 50% before receiving final deliverables.
